House music Producers and their Studios- Dennis Ferrer Interview

One of the great cross over dance tunes of 2009 has got to be New Yorker Dennis Ferrer’s – Hey Hey. A simplistic but sublime tune of melody hooks and meaningful vocal. All working together for a killer tune that is sure to be remembered for years to come.

For me the beauty of it is the way Ferrer has skillfully blended a typical house beat with hooky white noise stab pattern and block sound, to create a great groove. The vocal then jus adds the icing to the cake. Budding producers could do no wrong in analysing this track and seeing what makes it tick…

I’ve known a few of Dennis’s productions through the years but for me he’s been a name that largely passed by until recently, now I’m exploring his backcatalogue for all its worth. Been a music lover its great to see the guys over at Resident Advisor hooking up with dennis for a cool interview about his gear and what makes his sound. Check the link below to read more…

Advice: Put your credit card away before though, cause im sure you’ll want to buy a ffew things after haha
