How fast can you produce a track?…

Here’s a video of Starkey producing a track in 2 hours for airing on the BBC Radio 1 Mary Anne Hobbs Radio show.  Not bad at all.  A good example of setting  a tough deadline being a good way to get the work done much quicker!

Music production is generally good fun, but try stay in the habit of giving yourself a deadline to finish a section so that you stay productive.  One question I ask myself when spending hours fiddling with a sound/arrangement is “will this effort actually make a substantial improvement in the track?”.  If the answer is no, then move on!
